A seasoned advisor with more than fifteen years of experience across the restructuring and distressed debt advisory landscape, Mr. Pitts has represented debtors and creditors on a number of high-profile restructuring, capital markets, M&A, and special situation engagements. In addition to domestic transactions, he has led cross-border financial restructurings in Europe and Latin America. Anders Maxwell is a Managing Director in Peter J. Solomon Company’s Restructuring Group. Joining PJSC in 1999, Mr. Maxwell has led complex bankruptcy cases including Lyondell Basell Company, Mirant Corporation, Calpine Generating, Dynegy, Washington Mutual and Six Flags, Inc. He has also represented Tokyo Electric Power and Marubeni Power Development in international restructurings and sales and is regularly ranked in The Deal’s Bankruptcy League Table of Investment Bankers. Other engagements have included EPIC Mortgage, the largest fraud case arising from the Savings & Loan collapse and restructurings of financial institutions AMC Financial, Doral Bank and PMI Group.
Mr. Gissinger joined the firm in 2016 and has over eighteen years of distressed debt advisory and investment experience. Before joining PJSC, Mr. Gissinger served as a Senior Managing Director at Heritage Global, where he was responsible for sourcing engagements and executing transactions for Heritage Equity Partners, the firm’s special situations division. Prior to that he spent 10 years in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group, advising public and private companies as well as their creditors and other key stakeholders on debt restructurings and other special situations. Over the course of his career, Mr. Gissinger has been involved in a range of complex engagements including U.S. Chapter 11 reorganizations, Canadian Insolvencies (CCAA), out-of-court restructurings (U.S and Europe), capital markets transactions, exchange offers, union/pension fund negotiations, acquisitions, divestitures, fund dissolutions, liquidations and litigation advisory work. He specializes in creatively restructuring complex capital structures, with a focus on value maximization and generation.
