Peter is a corporate and commercial lawyer, with specialist experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, commercial agreements and partnerships (in particular LLPs). He acts for a wide range of clients from the fashion and media industries to more traditional owner-operated businesses, high net worth individuals (on personal investments), lenders, and professional partnerships. He is actively involved in corporate social responsibility (CSR) related projects, including as a non-executive director at the National Sports Trust Council and on the audit committee for the Prince’s Trust, as well as advising a number of leading national charities. Peter joined to jointly head up SM&B’s Corporate and Commercial Team in April 2013. Prior to that he was a partner at Davenport Lyons, having qualified at Nabarro Nathanson. He started his working career as a freelance journalist writing for UK and international publications after having graduated from Vassar College, NY.
