Yushan Ng is a partner and global co-chair of Cadwalader's Financial Restructuring Group. Widely recognized as one of Europe’s leading restructuring and insolvency attorneys, Yushan has acted on a wide range of restructurings, insolvency proceedings and financings across a range of jurisdictions, with a focus on advising institutions that invest in distressed situations or impaired credits. He has particular experience in advising on complex loan-to-own transactions for investors with significant strategic positions. Yushan’s practice also encompasses advising lenders and borrowers on a range of corporate and acquisition finance transactions. He combines his financing skill-set with practical restructuring expertise to develop and implement novel rescue and priming loan structures, with the goal of maximizing credit risk arbitrage for clients investing in difficult situations.
Karen McMaster is a partner in the Financial Restructuring Group in Cadwalader’s London office. Karen advises her clients on all aspects of debt restructuring and reorganization, from initial contingency planning and options analysis, to the implementation and management of complex workouts. Her work encompasses a range of insolvency and reorganization tools and processes, including UK Schemes of Arrangement and Voluntary Administrations, US Chapter 11 and various European reorganization mechanisms. Karen has also acted for investors on a number of direct lending and ‘special situations’ financing, often involving complex and bespoke debt instruments and intercreditor structures.
Richard Nevins is a partner in Cadwalader's London Financial Restructuring Group. He focuses on complex UK and European financial restructurings, and has advised both debtors and creditors on many significant transactions over the last decade. He is well versed in relevant insolvency laws in multiple European jurisdictions, having closed restructurings in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Poland, Russia and the Netherlands, and is very experienced in New York law high yield indentures. A graduate of New York University School of Law and an editor of its Law Review, Richard received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University. He is a registered foreign lawyer in England and Wales and is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
