Joaquín advises banks, financial institutions and funds, as well as corporations, on all kinds of financing transactions – project finance, acquisition finance, corporate and asset finance – as well as on structured finance transactions and securitisation deals, both domestic and international. He provides guidance to commercial banks, multilateral banks, funds and corporations in the energy, infrastructure and capital markets sectors. Alberto obtained both a Law Degree and an Economics and Business Degree at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid. Before joining the firm in 2000, Alberto worked for the prestigious Spanish law firms Garrigues Andersen and Uría & Menéndez. Alberto currently heads the Tax department of the firm's Madrid office. Alberto specialises in domestic, international and financial tax law. He has a wealth of experience in the tax planning of domestic and international business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and international financing structures in the private equity, energy, banking and real estate sectors. He is also skilled in the tax analysis of derivatives and other financial products and of investments in collective investment schemes, venture capital and private equity funds.
Alfredo specialises in company, civil and criminal law. He has considerable experience in providing legal direction at all stages of the law process in Spain, including Criminal Courts; Courts of First Instance; Commercial Courts; The Contentious-Administrative Courts; The Regional Courts of Appeal; The National Court of Appeal; The Economic-Administrative Courts; The Supreme Court; and The Constitutional Court.
