Based in Fasken Martineau’s Johannesburg office, Dimitri is a dual qualified lawyer (South Africa and England) who has practiced in London and South Africa and whose practice is focused on cross border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and regulatory work, primarily in the mining and resources sector. Dimitri has worked on transactions involving equity capital raisings on the JSE, TSX and London stock exchanges and on sophisticated cross border acquisitions and disposals. His expertise includes transaction structuring and implementation, including compliance with applicable securities laws and the regulatory aspects of transaction implementation. Dimitri also has extensive transactional experience in Anglophone and Francophone Africa and is familiar with the underlying legal risks involved. Dimitri’s clients include issuers, underwriters, corporate advisers and companies seeking to transact in Africa.
