Nuno Pena is a founding Partner of CMS-RPA and he is well known for its expertise in the dispute resolution arena. His civil and commercial litigation practice covers a wide range of sectors, having acted for some of the most significant players in the energy, media and Financial sectors. He covers areas such as corporate disputes, international tracing of assets, restructuring & insolvency, general commercial and contractual disputes. Nuno advises on insolvency matters specifically in connection with insolvency proceedings, in particular, the development and review of insolvency plans, acting on behalf of all the full range of stakeholders in restructuring and insolvency, including banks, distressed debt investors, private equity firms and businesses in financial difficulty. Joaquim Shearman de Macedo has been developing his practice in civil and commercial Litigation, internal and cross-border arbitration. He usually intervenes in commercial and corporate disputes, disputes among shareholders, construction, insurances, contractual and extra contractual civil liability. Joaquim provides advisory services to debtor companies with particular reference to their economic difficulties and provides them with legal advice during reorganisation.
Diogo Castanheira Pereira has been developing his activity with particular emphasis in the areas of Civil Law, Civil Procedural Law and Arbitration and, to a lesser extent, in the areas of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedural Law, Law of Merely Social Breaches and Constitutional Law. He is also experienced in Bank resolution and insolvency.
