Johan Henrik Nossum is a financial restructuring lawyer assisting businesses under financial distress, noteholders, lenders, debt investors, creditors' committees and other financial institutions on restructuring and insolvency-related cases. He is a specialist in bankruptcy legislation and debt negotiations and contributes actively to secure creditor interest and strategies for realization and coverage of debts; especially transactions before or after bankruptcy proceedings. Johan is a key resource in Schjødt’s investigation team, leading the coordination with external partners and consultants on larger investigations on behalf of businesses, organizations and public authorities. He has experience from investigation in bankruptcy, fraud, system failure investigations and he controls objectiveness and routines for continuous professional investigation processes in Schjødt.
Viggo Bang-Hansen specializes in capital markets transactions, securities law and M&A, with a particular focus on public and international transactions. He has extensive experience advising and representing local and international banks, issuers and investors on equity and debt issuances, M&A, financial markets, financial regulatory, general corporate finance and corporate litigation. Viggo joined the firm in 2003, and is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo, including exchange studies at London School of Economics (UK) and McGill University (Montreal, Canada). Prior to joining Schjødt, he spent three years as a legal intern with the Norwegian Securities Dealers Association. Viggo has been a partner at Schjødt since 2008.
Erling Ueland is a partner in the firm's M&A and Capital Markets department. He joined Schjødt in 1998, and specializes in M&A, corporate finance, securities law, corporate regulatory issues, restructuring and insolvency. Erling was educated at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bergen. Prior to joining Schjødt he was one of three partners in the law firm, Ueland, Skjerpe, Kolstø. Erling is a leading Norwegian practitioner in corporate law, including particular expertise in restructuring and insolvency matters. He has been heavily involved in several large and complex restructuring issues of companies and company groups, and holds extensive experience from advising clients on regulatory issues related to the securities trading act and securities fund act. He is often found as lead advisor on larger transactions. Erling has been the Managing Partner of our firm over two periods, and from 2005 to 2007, and again from 2009 until 31 December 2014.
