Anthony Raven is an M&A and project development lawyer, and the firm’s Tokyo office Managing Partner and co-leader of its Energy & Infrastructure practice. Anthony has 21 years’ experience in London and Tokyo advising multinational and Japanese companies in M&A and development of major projects, mainly in the energy sector including LNG, petrochemicals, oil & gas and power. Anthony is also an expert on LNG sales and purchase agreements. Anthony is qualified to practice in England & Wales and is registered as a Foreign Admitted Lawyer (gaikokuho jimu bengoshi) in Japan. Anthony also advises on disputes, regulatory and sanctions issues in the energy industry, as well as on the UK Bribery Act and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, on government investigations, issues around compliance, bribery and corruption, and on crisis management where he assists Japanese and multinational companies facing catastrophic financial and reputational loss or other losses associated with any type of crisis event.
