Lehmann, Warde & Monteiro de Castro Advogados is a law firm dedicated to highly complex corporate, securities and finance law issues. Our law firm was established by its partners Walfrido Jorge Warde Júnior and Rudi Alberto Lehmann Jr. in 1996, and has been involved in important cases related to the economic development and the consolidation of the legal institutions in Brazil. Our firm has become a ‘think tank’ on issues related to business law, focused on corporate law, capital markets, infrastructure (project finance) and tax having combined the production of academic work to its legal practice. Our academic orientation is not dissociated from our legal practice and summarizes a professional activity based on the coherence of ideas and actions.
Walfrido Jorge Warde Júnior is a lawyer and partner at Lehmann, Warde & Monteiro de Castro Advogados, specialized in litigation, corporate and business laws. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and in Philosophy from the School of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences of the USP. LLM from the New York University School of Law, Juris Doctor in Commercial Law from the Law School of the USP, researcher (with scholarship) at the Max-Planck Institut für Ausländisches und Internationales Privatsrecht (Hamburg, Germany), in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008 and a member of the Institute for Applied Corporate Law. He is a member of the Brazilian Association of Jurimetrics, a member of the team of arbitrators at CIESP-FIESP as well as a professor and lecturer. He is also a member of the Regulatory Committee of the Brazilian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association..
